On December 7, 2021, SCS announced on their blog post that the Freightliner Cascadia has an upgrade which brings more new parts and customization options to the truck called Freightliner Cascadia 2022. Cascadia was finally released on December 2, 2020, along with the 1.39 update. The Cascadia model that was shown in January 2016 was the old Cascadia generation (2016) and the teaser that Carthoo had shown in September 2018 was a CAD drawing of the new Cascadia generation (2018).
